to give supplements or not is a very individual decision. Some people take (and give to their pets) a large number of supplements.
Other people feed/eat a really good diet and assume that all is covered by feeding/eating a variety of great ingredients.
Some veterinarians have a few supplements they consider important, but these recommendations differ vet to vet.
If a dog or cat is having any digestive issues (vomiting beef, for instance), then feeding digestive enzymes and pro-biotics can be very useful.
I have not found one brand to be superior to others. If you have a great holistic pet store near you, then I would use what they carry. Otherwise, Rx Vitamins, NaturVet, Ark Naturals, and Earth Animal are good brands.
