Ear shaking

Hi everyone
🤍
I’m currently watching a kitty for the weekend and would really appreciate your guidance.

I’ve noticed her ears are down on the side and she’s been shaking her head, and there’s a subtle clicking sound coming from her ears when she does it and one more click when she stops shaking.l her had. I have not seen any signs of mites other parasites in the ear but also i could not see that well. There’s no obvious discharge that I can see, but something doesn’t feel right.

The owner mentioned she receives steroid injections a couple of times a year because their vet believes she has allergies. I’m not her owner, but I can’t help feeling this might be masking an underlying issue rather than addressing the root cause.

I also noticed her nose and paw pads seem quite pale, which added to my concern.

She’s otherwise calm, but clearly uncomfortable. I prefer a more holistic approach and would love insight into what this could be, what to watch for, and any gentle, supportive steps I can take while she’s with me.

Certainly it is a challenge when you will be with an animal for just a few days. The most important thing you can do is all of the Happiness Protocols we discuss. Avoid thinking of the ears as a problem. They are a bother to the cat, of course, and an indication of imbalance that needs curative treatments, not merely palliative as her guardian is doing. Play, play, play, distract, exercise, hide food, cuddle - whatever seems most wanted by this kitty. Keep experimenting.

Also, send healing intentions - maybe listen to any of the "energy healing" webinars like Prasad, Reiki, Eleni, and more.

You could try massaging around her ears, then the rest of the body - maybe with Stress stopper or rescue remedy. Only if she loves it.

If possible, have a conversation with the mom when she returns, about taking the 101 course, working with a homeopath, etc. I am sure you were already planning that.

Can you try wiping out any ear wax or discharge using moist (water, aloe, calendula) kleenex?

When do the kitty's guardians return?
