Is it possible for watery cat ears to drain on their own after ongoing bacterial rod ear infection and multiple failed conventional /alternative treatments? I’ve stopped putting anything in the ears, and instead have started an every 3rd day fresh cut raw beef followed by 2 days dehydrated raw food with mixed in wild blueberry powder, micro c powder, barley grass juice powder, mushroom complex powder, Lysine, B12, Zinc sulfate, Goldenseal, Propolis. I will occasionally wipe the external ears out. If I move the ears around vigorously I can hear liquid in the ears. She can’t hear almost at all now after 6 months of failed treatments. She shakes her head still. Sleeps probably 20 hrs a day. 16 yrs old. When not sleeping, she’s spry. No other issues. She makes loud noises in the AM to wake me up for food. She seems slightly depressed not being able to hear. Like she’s in good spirits but not happy due to the ongoing infection. We moved from WI to FL 8 months ago and she caught it in a dirty airbnb. Some hosts are disgusting. Before we moved I gave her a purevax rabies vaccine sadly and regrettably. She had one or two conventional vaccines after birth. She has been examined by several vets. Tried vinegar peroxide water mix to clean out her ears for a month at first which I think was way too heavy handed based on a presumption of ear mites. Turns out it was bacterial after finally getting her tested. Chinese medicine didn’t work. Now I’m going with Medical Medium protocols for humans but are supposed to be fine and effective for cats too. I’ve checked online about safety. So far I think the infection is improving with MM protocols but I’m concerned about the liquid buildup.
