Quinn is a female, spayed, domestic longhair cat we adopted at about three months old. She is 10.5 pounds. When we adopted her she was FIV positive, not tested since. About 3.5 years ago she started sneezing, she does not have watery eyes, her behavior is normal, she is social with us, eats, drinks and goes to the bathroom fine. She is on Blue Buffalo LID Duck and potato dry (free fed) and Almo Naturals tuna and pumpkin wet 2x a day (to mix in the tons of things I have tried). She has been regularly vaccinated despite being strictly indoor b/c we board her annually for a trip. I will probably find an alternative as I don't think that is helping. We have two dogs as well (two have passed since we had her and we have got new ones when they passed). She gets along (tolerates) the dogs well. She has escape places to get away from them. We give her filtered water. I have tried Lysine, homeopet drops, various supplements, we have only one rug in the house, an air purifier (not ozone), no air fresheners or toxic cleaners.
One thing that has changed since we got her is we switched from oil to gas heat and it is a bit drier although I see no difference when the heat or air is not on and windows open.
She has had three convenia shots and those helped for a few weeks. Latest vet we tried wanted us to do Cerenia drops in the nose and I think that made it worse.
I am at a complete loss. She doesn't seem miserable but it can't be comfortable and I am constantly cleaning up....
She does not seem to have any facial deformity or teeth issues and it has remained relatively the same since it started.

Welcome Colleen. Like many other people, your attempts to merely stop a symptom rather than address the underlying energetic imbalance are very frustrating. Thank you for thinking in a new way by joining Holistic Actions. With new understanding and continuing patience, Quinn's sneezing can be minimized or eliminated in a way to build her vitality to live a long and healthy life.

Please schedule your first 15 minute support call if you have any trouble accessing the wealth of information here at the site. We can help you see the value of the whole body paradigm.

You may want to watch the welcome video to see the amazing resources here at HA!.
Step one is to read the articles in the 101 fundamentals of health document, especially Lesson one which addresses the value of symptoms as clues. the goal is not to focus on the sneezing, rather focus on balance so the body can naturally and permanently heal itself.

Then go to the resources library and click on respiratory or put respiratory in the search box. You will learn even more about understanding symptoms. You are already good at noticing if something is not the best for her (the drops).

The good news is that, from your query, it seems that Quinn is thriving except for the sneezing. When the body is vital enough to keep producing a symptom that is not life threatening for so many years, it is a very good sign. Less balanced cats would have sneezing, be given drugs, then develop more serious symptoms - maybe asthma, or digestive, or urinary.

Lesson 2 is about nutrition, and sometimes switching to a species appropriate diet (fresh meat based), and especially eliminating dry food, can improve health so any symptoms resolve. Stopping vaccines is another great step towards a vital body, as you have now done.

If food changes do not help, the very best will be to work with a veterinarian trained in homeopathy (some can work virtually) or in full Chinese medicine (acupuncture done in a whole body approach. This article ( or one of the monthly calls) can guide you in setting up a holistic health care team.

We will suggest ways to soothe the sneezing while you are addressing the underlying energetic imbalance.

Hey Colleen!

Welcome to HA! Thanks for making your first post about Quinn.
I am at a complete loss
I am super sorry to hear that. As Christina points out, there's lots of HA! info. here, and different ways to benefit from it.

A 1:1 call with Christina or myself may be helpful for reducing overwhelm and not knowing where to turn.

Most of my private clients also find one thing even more helpful than all of the information.

And that is the knowledge that they have found a personalized, preventive, predictive and participatory path that leads to the deep healing which our beloved animal companions deserve.

The 101 course will get you started on it. Reading "Path to Pet Wellness" will show you the entire path.

Then HA! will help you walk it for as long as you want us there.
