Hello. I am posting the following on behalf of SusannaF. Thank you!

1. Newman, 6, Male
2. Neutered
3. French Bulldog
4. 27lbs
5. Normal
6. Steve's Real Food
7. Up to date on vaccines
8. Sent 2 engorged ticks found on him to lab and one or both is positive for Lyme and Anaplasmosis
9. N/A
10. A few weeks ago, Newman had his accuplex test and was negative. This is prior to the 2 new ticks being found. About 3-4 years ago he was ill due to a positive Anaplasmosis test. At that time he had a fever, lethargy, and loss of appetite. He had elevated liver values at the time of his diagnosis. They are since normal
11. He is chronically on Denamarin. After we found the one tick, we started him on Ledum Palustre profilactically. We found a second tick a few days later
12. We are concerned of him being bitten again with a tick that is positive for Anaplasmosis when he has already had it and a positive Lyme tick. What else can we do? We are worry about his Anaplasmosis coming back. Is the Ledum enough to help with the Lyme. We understand a bite doesn't mean it has transmitted. Thanks

So good that you realize being bitten does not mean disease. If there are no symptoms,
the most important first step is to get Newman working with a great holistic vet. Without a focus on rebalancing the energy field, there is a lot of stress about what to do. Read about HMDM go through the steps. I am assuming SusannaF is a member.

Next, take go to resource library and click on Lyme, then go to all the links in that section, including "does my dog need antibiotics?" article.

Be sure to be keeping a journal, focusing on changes in BEAM, Early Warning signs of internal imbalance, as those are keys to making health decisions.

Explore feeding a wider variety of fresh foods to build vitality.

Was Newman also treated with homeopathy or deep Chinese medicine a few years ago when he was ill? If not, now is the time to begin that type of treatment. Giving Ledum is like giving an aspirin for a migrane. Homeopathy (do a search here and read all about the power of homeopathy), needs to be individualized, even in acute diseases. Ledum works when it fits ALL the symptoms and is given in the appropriate dosages. Did not hurt to give it, but may have done little.

Hi Susanna!
What else can we do?
There are lots and lots of strategies. First and foremost is to understand the bigger picture of Lyme, Anaplasma or any germ (bacteria, viruses, etc.). And the use the other actions of the Terrain Optimizing Protocol (TOP) which will keep Newman in tip TOP shape:

If you haven't already done so, taking the HA! 101 and Lyme courses are also a great place to start.

As Dr. Christina alluded, it is Newman's energetic balance that is fundamental to maintaining and regaining health. However, from a secondary physiological perspective (food, supplements, etc.) consider this:
