Thank you so much for your reply.
We know about fecal transplants. Is that something they do for dogs as well?
The Medical Medium advises against this for humans...don't know if it is different for animals.
I am assuming that if a dog has worms and our dog eats that dog's poo she will get the worms or is that a misconception?

We are currently feeding her poached Alaska Pollack with mashed potatoes and alternate now and then with a kibble meal. She gets raw carrots and other raw veggies as well, and sometimes a cycle of cooked hamburger, no pork with potatoes. I gave her raw hamburger once and she threw up so that was a bit of a turn off.

We always have treats with us on walks but she is so fast in going for the poop. She sees or smells it before we do. I have tried going out right after she has eaten...perhaps a small difference but not a cure. Sounds like we will have to live with it? (our dog eating other dog's poo)

On a different subject, I have ordered a dental formula product from England, a "water additive" sold by NutriPaw. It is to help keep the dog's teeth clean and breath fresher.
It contains per 10ml,
  • Zinc Gluconate 22 mg,
  • Grape Seed Extract 10 mg,
  • Sodium Chlorophyllin 1 mg,
  • Proprietary fresh breath blend 24 mg.
If I understand the label correctly the blend contains the following: Vitamin C, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Bromeliain, Spirolina, Cinnamon Powder, Yuca Root, Sage. Inactive ingredients: Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Vegetable Glycerin, water.
Directions: Add 5ml to 250 ml water. For best results use twice daily.
They ask that if the dog is pregnant consult with a veterinarian before use, which is what I am doing now.

Should we wait with using this until the pups have come?
Are there any supplements you would recommend for her now during pregnancy?

I am giving her a pinch of barley grass juice powder daily and a little blueberry powder now and then, as well as a little nori that she seems to like.
Thanking you in advance from Stockholm.

Thanks so much Judith for reposting your message.

Yes! Perhaps search in the resource library for Margo Roman's webinars. She is a leader in this field and speaks extensively about fecal transplants.

There's also info. available from AnimalBiome:

is that a misconception?
Great question! Yes, to some degree it is a misconception. However it depends on the balance of the inner terrain of the pup eating the stool. The better the balance, the lower the susceptibility and chances of acquiring worms.

You probably do not need to live with it. Again, it depends on the complete totality and individuality of your dog's energy flow and inner balance.

A trained vet homeopath can help relieve any energetic blockages that may be leading to the poop eating.

Should we wait with using this until the pups have come?
Yes, it may indeed be better to wait on this or any other new supplements introduced to a pregnant pup.

However, pregnancy (and during estrus) is a great time to use veterinary homeopathy.
