Thank you so much for your reply.
We know about fecal transplants. Is that something they do for dogs as well?
The Medical Medium advises against this for humans...don't know if it is different for animals.
I am assuming that if a dog has worms and our dog eats that dog's poo she will get the worms or is that a misconception?
We are currently feeding her poached Alaska Pollack with mashed potatoes and alternate now and then with a kibble meal. She gets raw carrots and other raw veggies as well, and sometimes a cycle of cooked hamburger, no pork with potatoes. I gave her raw hamburger once and she threw up so that was a bit of a turn off.
We always have treats with us on walks but she is so fast in going for the poop. She sees or smells it before we do. I have tried going out right after she has eaten...perhaps a small difference but not a cure. Sounds like we will have to live with it? (our dog eating other dog's poo)
On a different subject, I have ordered a dental formula product from England, a "water additive" sold by NutriPaw. It is to help keep the dog's teeth clean and breath fresher.
It contains per 10ml,
Directions: Add 5ml to 250 ml water. For best results use twice daily.
They ask that if the dog is pregnant consult with a veterinarian before use, which is what I am doing now.
Should we wait with using this until the pups have come?
Are there any supplements you would recommend for her now during pregnancy?
I am giving her a pinch of barley grass juice powder daily and a little blueberry powder now and then, as well as a little nori that she seems to like.
Thanking you in advance from Stockholm.
