Some questions on new bloodwork results for my cat, Teddy

Hi Steve!

Welcome to HA!

Thanks for making your first post about Teddy.

How's his BEAM?

Conventionally, yes. My answer depends on his age and BEAM prior to going in the hospital.

Kidney dis-ease makes them dehydrate and just feel blah, not want to eat, etc. Not pain.

Yes. However the likelihood depends on many factors including age, history, past treatments, etc.

In "Path to Pet's Wellness" is Raine's and Heat's stories. Both were dogs with kidney failure who recovered.

Great...thank you very much for helpful info! :) Last Fri, my cat had blood work done and it shows that Crea - 4.0 and BUN - 81. Today, I went to vet again for bloodwork and it improves somewhat. Crea - 3.9 and Bun - 63. It's a little better. Is it possible to go back to the normal level of Crea; the normal range of 0.8 - 2.4? He ate some wet food today! Wow! Awesome! :)

Thank you for the information you provided. Following my cat's blood work yesterday, the results show a Crea level of 3.9 and a BUN of 63.

Are these levels still considered too high? I would also like to know if it is possible for his Crea to return to the normal range of 0.8 - 2.4. Please let me know what steps I should take to help him reach those levels.

I am planning to transition him to homemade food to help improve his kidney function.
