Yes! Big, raw, whole ones. And we have many others in our co-op that use these as well. Most dogs seem to love them, and they are full of great nutrition. These are a west coast item; your situation may vary as to availability. I also feed canned ones in water, occasionally in olive oil, plus canned mackerel and salmon.

Sardines are fabulous--a complete balanced food, lots of taurine, lots of the important Omega-3s EPA and DHA. I don't think I've ever seen a whole *raw* sardine but the canned ones are fine. With a raw diet, if you can't get fresh, I'd probably pick the ones in olive oil just to get a little extra fat in, since most homemade diets are on the low side.
