My cat Simon was diagnosed with Hypotrophic Cardiomyopathy - a very bad heart condition in cats. What can I do using homeopathy to treat and help his condition. He is currently taking Atenolol and Omega 3 fatty acids. Any suggestions

Hi Paul-

I'm really sorry to hear about Simon. :(

You're in the right place to get holistic support, so thanks for making your first post.

Yes, lots of suggestions! They all are based on optimizing the cellular energy that Simon's heart needs to work properly.

Building and preserving energy can be done at home without drugs!
The methods all start with the vitality and energy in fresh food. What does Simon eat?:catfood:

Is he picky, or is he a good eater?

There are many others that are based on the Happiness Protocol of promoting purring, playing and petting.

We can talk much more about these on our call today. In the meantime, you may want to pick up some free-dried hearts to use as treats and to start building his vitality.

Also, in order to keep him in tip TOP shape, here are a few other ideas:

BTW-How's his BEAM? Based on the cardiology report you sent, it looks like his dis-ease at this time is pretty mild. That's a great time to start activating his own healing mechanisms, especially in such a young kitty as Simon!

What is BEAM? Want to find out the best, most effective and safest way to treat HCM with homeopathic medicine without giving up Atenolol and Omega 3 prescribed by two different cardiologists. Thank you so much for your interest and concern.

Thanks for sharing those Paul.

The importance of BEAM (Behavior, Energy, Appetite, Mood) are discussed in the Fun-damentals course the we talked a bit about earlier.

If you have any trouble finding it (or anything else!), just email Aruna at:

Fish oil is definitely important; it has a slight blood thinning effect, as well as powerful anti-inflammatory properties. No reason to stop the atenolol at this point, though it could be a goal in the future as he heals. The record noted he was on Royal Canin dry food; if he's still eating that, you'll want to convert him to a much better diet as Dr. Jeff mentioned. The record also says he's due for panleuk and upper respiratory vaccines in December--he doesn't need them, and in fact with this chronic disease he should not be vaccinated at all. Don't know where you are in the world, but flea and heartworm medications may be problematic. Homeopathy will be key in his healing, but the docs here with more experience in that will guide you.
