Hi, Dr. Jeff

Just was listening (still) to the 10/14/17 Empower Hour on lameness, and Hypericum (St. John's Wort) was mentioned for nerve pain.  I understand St. John's Wort is contraindicated for horses for internal use.  Is Hypericum safe for use in horses?

Thanks!

Cecilia

Hey Cecilia-

Hypericum is absolutely fine to use!

Homeopathic medicines can’t be poisonous as they are typically diluted beyond the molecular level.

In fact some of the most potent poisons like arsenic, strychnine, etc. are also the best homeopathic medicines.
