Hello, I’m wondering if anyone would help me regarding my dog and losing her nail on right hind foot. She is a 3 year old Golden, BEAM is good, despite yesterday’s loss of her toenail which happened while running out in our yard…It was bleeding and we applied pressure until it stopped cleaned it out well with soap and water, then a wound care saline spray as well as neosporin. There is no more bleeding and she seems fine.

We kept her paw covered with gauze though it keeps coming off as she is active and wants to play.

Is there something you’d recommend that I do to care for her? Any homeopathic remedy that would be helpful?

Sounds like you all have a lot of fun! And you took a deep breath and did not panic. Great job.

No need to worry about the nail. Maybe clean it off when she comes inside. As long as she is feeling great and it is not too sore (or not at all) - resume normal life!

there are no symptoms on which to prescribe a homeopathic medicine, nor acupressure points, so just shake any worry out of your head!.

Hey Jackie!

You did great!! There's nothing more that you need to do than keep the area clean and protected, as you have been doing.

Torn nails can take a long time to grow back.

A little calendula gel on the gauze you use to wrap can help it heal faster.

Thank you so much, Dr. Jeff. I’ll get some calendula gel to help her along. I apprecuate your reassurance!!
