Which test is more accurate? Should both be used? When to use one versus the other?

I used to use the Antech Lyme titer. Unless two titers are run, it's still not possible to know if there is active infection.

Then the Idexx 4Dx whiCH is a sensitive tester of C6, came along. Along with the "quant" (quantitative) C6 which was a proprietary test only available through Idexx (I think this has changed).

Years ago, some vets only using the Antech labs (which only offered titer testing for Lyme) tended not to run C6.

Now it is much more widely available.

Along with the Cornell Multiplex, the C6 is the best single test. Paired titers ~3 weeks apart) can reveal similar information.

If you haven't taken the Lyme course, that's where to go next.

It's the original offering of HA! from almost ten years ago however the information, including abut the Multiplex, has not changed.
