Hi,
So our Bulldog Loula who is 1 1/2 years old developed conjunctivitis in her eye after going to the Vet. Due to Covid, they meet you at your car and take your pet in and even though I strongly reminded them of no vaccines they gave her a Bordetella shot and one week later Conjunctivitis. Back to. the Vet and they gave her anti-inflammatory and ointment for her eye. We did not use the the anti-inflammatory but did use ointment which has not helped, so we took her back to Vet and 3 days later she has a Staph infection on her leg, Back to Vet (for the final and last time) where they gave some shampoo and more ointment for her eye which is closed now. There are no Holistic Vets near us and Ive thought of Oregano oil mixed with coconut oil for her Staph and spraying it Sovereign Silver but not certain if this is the best treatment. Not a clue what to do for her eye and very concerned any help would hugely be appreciated .

Here is Loulas Info
Age 1.5 years
Femaile
Not spayed
English Bulldog
47lbs
BEAM - Currently, everything low...shes lethargic and barely eating
She has had a few Vaccines unfortunately I dont have record
As a Bulldog she has the short tail which has a small pocket around it that gets infected so she had been treated for that 2 XS. Otherwise a healthy dog.

Hey Athena-

Thanks so much for starting a thread!

I'm sorry to hear about Loula's eye and all of your trips to the vet (have you seen an eye specialist?). :(

Out of all that she has been through, it would seem to me that the worst issues are her poor appetite and low overall BEAM. In what way is she lethargic? For example, is she sleeping excessively, slow moving, etc.

Her eye can heal naturally by increasing her cellular energy, vitality, and help smooth out energy and information flow between all the cells of the body.

The oregano spray and Sovereign Silver are fantastic support, but they will not heal the underlying imbalance (that is causing both her eye and BEAM issues).

An energetic modality like homeopathy, TCM, Ayurveda, etc. and many other methods can fully and permanently resolve the underlying problem and symptoms.

However as you found with a holistic vet, there aren't that many of us who are trained to practice this way. Therefore many of us do virtual consults anywhere in the world (screen the referral list by "phone" consultations).

For now, however, your vet team of your local supportive (but conventional) vet, an eye specialist, and what you learn for HMDM Step 2 can still help Loula's eye heal, eat better, and have more energy.

Her young age improves the odds of a full recovery.

Hi Dr Jeff,
Sorry, the sovereign silver and oregano oil were for her Staph infection on her leg and not sure if that will help her leg. If you have any other remedies for Staph we would be open to it.

As far as her BEAM....shes lethargic , meaning she won't play, keeps going to her crate and then refuses to come out. The retreating to her crate started after this last Vet visit which is a huge red flag. Normally, Loula is an extreme eater and loves any and all food however, since the Vet visit she's barely leaving her crate to eat and skipping meals.

Thank you for the Holistic Vet Link!

You're welcome, Athena!

Also, if you have an ionbox or other negative ion generator, see if she improves by keeping it within 2 feet of her eyes and nose for as much of the day as possible (I have my own near me 24/7).

It should help with everything. It provides a positive healing environment. All the symptoms she has are connected to the same systemic issues; they just express in different areas. So, the stronger she becomes, the less necessary all those expressions become, too.
