On another note, my pets have been enjoying Grass Land Beef. 👌🏼 For anyone interested, I am including communication from them regarding their products & procedures (organic, hormones, vaccines, etc) below.

“We appreciate your interest in our company and the welfare of the animals. US Wellness Meats is owned and operated by family farms. For 20+ years, the mission has been to offer nutritious, 100% grass-fed and pasture-raised meats from cleaner, greener, sustainable farms. Our farms use NO pesticides, NO herbicides, NO added growth hormones, NO GMOs, NO antibiotics and NO mRNA shots.

We care about the health of our animals, so our producers choose to give them specific vaccines as a precautionary measure. It's not mandatory, but it's the best way to keep our entire flock/herd healthy. We ensure that we only administer the minimum amount needed to protect them. For beef, two thoroughly-tested traditional vaccines that have been around for decades are used to protect the herd from an invasive soil bacterium that cattle have been susceptible to throughout history. These include black leg and BRD (Bovine Respiratory Disease). Bison do not receive vaccines of any kind. Some of our poultry currently receive vaccines at the hatchery prior to being delivered to our farms, protecting them from the following diseases: Marek's Disease, Newcastle Bronchitis, and Infectious Bronchitis Virus - Mass & Conn strains. Pork receives a vaccine for Circovirus at 21 days and Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae at 42 days. The lambs receive one vaccine to prevent Clostridium (bacteria in the gut) in the herd.”

Are you certified organic? Why not?

“All US Wellness Meats' cattle, pastures, and animals have been maintained with organic principles in mind since 2000. Unfortunately, the state of Missouri dropped a state-run organic-certification program and turned it over to a private certifier several years ago. The private certifier wanted 3% of the gross income of the preceding year to maintain the license. We politely said no, and felt if Thomas Jefferson were still alive he would concur. Sadly, greed has infiltrated a noble cause. 50% of the Missouri organic producers have let their certification lapse since this situation was created by the Missouri legislature.”

Thanks for sharing this info.

I am awaiting further info. about what's going on with the food from Viva.

Personally I've also ordered from US Wellness meats and like their products very much.
