Hi . My cat had the 6 teeth removed on April 16th. He hasn't been himself ever since.
And yesterday I could see he was in pain.
Today I discovered a hard lump under his chin on the left side of his mouth.
I got an appointment with the vet today, and the vet examined him, and could see that he had got an infection / inflammation, in the area on the left side where some of the teeth had been removed from. We've got this antibiotic I'm going to give him for 10 days.
And the vet said I should give painkillers, Loxicom, also for 10 days.. I would rather avoid using loxicom.
I have Arnica 10m and Hypericum 30ch at home. Can I use any of it, instead of loxicom? And is there anything else I can do for my cat now?
And a question about supplementation, I give him propolis and vitamin c (the Medical Medium recommends for dental problems) should I continue with it while I now give antibiotics?

Yes!I have Arnica 10m and Hypericum 30ch at home. Can I use any of it,
Hydrogen peroxide works super well for the pussy abscess discharge. And it is readily available and kills germs. Is there anything else I can use to clean the area with?
It sounds like he is doing better with the clindamycin antibiotic that your vet gave for the post-dental period.Maybe the antibiotics are too harsh for him
Yes , but is it necessary to give it in 10 days?Hydrogen peroxide works super well for the pussy abscess discharge. And it is readily available and kills germs.

Did the vet do dental x-rays when Bello was under anesthesia? He had his teeth removed on April 16
Can you upload a pic for us to see?on May 28, I discovered a large lump (dental abscess) under his chin on the left side.
Unfortunately, yes.Can this infection and this large swelling and weight loss, develop in just a few days?
Yes, especially if it can be done without too much stress (which drains energy).Would it be better to have the fur around the swelling trimmed?
YesI'm sorry to hear about Bello's continued dental challenges.

Its hard to see on a picture because my cat have white fur ( he is a Birma cat )Can you upload a pic for us to see?
I also thinking because Bello have never been himself ever since he got the tooths removed, so could it have been this from the beginning? Also because Bello is first started now, after i have started giving the antibiotics, to slowly be himself again.Unfortunately, yes.
Only way to do it , its to take the trip to the vet. Or should i ask a person one with a fur Clipper , to come and help me to do it ? So it will be a new person i not know , coming in our home.Yes, especially if it can be done without too much stress (which drains energy).
Great idea! Tho possibly unnecessary.i ask a person one with a fur Clipper , to come and help me to do it ?
