Dog has pyoderma on belly

Hi everyone,

I just posted the other day but my dog Ellie has a quarter sized red spot on her belly with a pustule in the center that’s getting bigger. From what I was looking up it says maybe pyoderma.

She has a red spot on her belly with a pustule in the center. I noticed it the other day and it was dark red and about quarter sized. Her skin has been peely in that spot for a while and now it’s red.

We’ve been using a spray gel called vetericyn on it the last couple days. The redness is getting lighter but the pustule is getting bigger. I know the vet we take her to might recommend antibiotics but she has sensitivity to most of the antibiotics they’ve given her before. Her BEAM is good so I don’t know if there’s anything else I should be doing. I’ve also been giving her calendula 30c.

1. Hot compress the pustule 2-3x a dy.

2. Maximize her outside time. Especially focusing on joyful activities, rolling in the dirt, playing, etc.

3. Consider starting to work, preventively, on Ellie's internal energetic balance. It sounds like it's currently still very good based on her BEAM. And also based on the skin lesion (external symptoms, like a skin rash/pyoderma are protecting the internal organs).

Hi Dr Jeff,

I stopped giving her the homeopathic remedies I was using for her allergies, anal glands and urinary I mentioned in my first post as you mentioned stopping them since her beam was lowered. And after I stopped them her leg is better and she is acting like herself again other than being itchy and the spot on her belly.

We didn’t take her for walks this week because her leg seemed like it was bothering her and then I noticed the spot on her belly Thursday. I will be taking her outside and doing things she enjoys like going for rides and playing.

She also threw up a little yesterday when I got home from work. She throws up sometimes like once a month or every other month. It was yellow and a little orange.

Should I give her a bath with zymox shampoo also to help with her itching?
