Essence of Animal Hospice and Holistic End-of-Life Care: Panel Discussion
The discussion among the co-founders of Hospice Animal Group and grief counselors delves into the profound world of animal hospice and holistic end-of-life care. The conversation explores the spiritual dimensions of the journey, the stages of dying, and the powerful lessons Mother Nature offers, while also extending a call to action for younger generations to advocate for the well-being and choices of sentient beings.

Totally awesome. Great to hear some practical ‘how to’ tips. Yes thanks so much. I also feel, in animal communication, that I am working with what I might call ‘felt-visuals’ … such as when I ask ‘what is your favourite tree?’. I feel that I am working with what Gene Gendlin called ‘the felt sense’ and what Simon McKibbin has coined Embodied Relational Presence’ … I am / we are living in a relational field and I am / we are relational processes. Verbings not nouns. Yes thinking is an energetic AND may be a bit transient at times. Consciously pausing and giving space to align with the living process that we are brings such a joy in my close friend and canine Belle. She licked me for about five minutes when I first consciously did this with her. She was excited and screeching as sound of excitement. Thanks so much. So much to share. I’ll leave it there for now. LOve from Jenny
Donna is the real deal! Her response to your questions is genuine, and comes from the experiential. Loved it!
Awesome convo. I shared this with my animal loving homies! Thank you so much.
I’ve heard to communicate with animals we focus on the images and feelings. I wonder is that how we can expect to receive communications from our animal friends?
Not so much a comment on your presentation specifically, but a general one for Jeff. I did not hear any presentation that I watched mention our avian friends, the birds. While we are speaking about interconnectedness between species, let us remember the interconnectedness between pet parents with cats and dogs and those with birds and other exotics. Yes, I know the money is in treating cats and dogs. Yet there seems to be a big divide in the vet world between those who treat cats/dogs and all other species. I am a pet bird parent. It is hard to find vets near me who went the extra year to vet school to get avian certified, yet there are those who didn’t go the extra year and still “treat” birds. It is an inequity that is frustrating. Please, Please, Please tell Jeff that next time he has a summit to include birds and other exotics. They have spirits and energy and wisdom too. Don’t perpetuate the divide between cats/dogs and others. Please include all animals. thanks, Gabrielle Lucci
