Hello
I have a 10 year old, half Great Pyr, half mixed female spayed dog.
Currently, only giving her rabies shot. Previously she had any required shots as I took her in the cabin with me to Hawaii.
She is happy all of the time. I noticed a shift in her energy about 6 months ago..she started slowing down but, still able to get around. We took an hour walk today.
I take her everywhere with me so, she has been jumping in and out of my jeep, multiple times a day for 10 years.
She is stiff in the mornings and after sitting. I give her sardines, small batch beef hearts. They worked for a couple of years re: mobility.
After we walk, we sit in the grass for an hour or so. We both love it...being in nature and grounding. However, since I began doing this, we both have developed allergies.
I have lived here...northern California for 30 years and never developed allergies although, most people have. I live in a valley, agriculture capital lol.
I have read over the 101 class. I practice Reiki on us both...as i have taken reiki classes.
I am looking for the latest products/help with: mobility, seasonal allergies, fleas...I saw some info in 101 and have not seen any. Most likely seasonal allergies.
So products for allergies, mobility.
Can allergies cause panting? She is itching and scratching.
Also re raw food. She used to be on frozen raw food only but, it made her vomit as it was too rich re: HA. Ra freeze dried, no issues.
Her poops are mushy. They weren't with raw.
Lots of questions...mostly wondering about seasonal allergies.
Thank you!

She is around 80 pounds. No toxins. I don't use chemicals in my house or yard but, I can't vouch for the park or any other place that I walk her..
Her appetite is good.
The panting and itching began about a month ago or maybe 2 months.

Hi Rhiannon!
Can allergies cause panting?
Sort of. They definitely can trigger the energetic imbalance that can create the symptom of panting.

The panting may also be related to a physical issue. Has she been tour vet for an exam and senior diagnostics since the panting began?

If she hasn't, you may want to start your information gathering there.

Then you wil have more data to help you decide what to do.

Regarding food and supplements, I love this supportive supplement for supporting healing of hip and joint challenges:

Also, the Vimergy Micro-C is great for both allergies and arthritis.

I will take her in. There aren't any holistic vets around here.
She can't handle the green lipped mussels. I tried them before. Any other recommendations?
I used to take vimergy vit c myself. I'm on a limited budget right now.
How much do i give her?
I was thinking about trying raw frozen again but, in a limited quantity...maybe 25 percent.
Do you offer tele appts?
Do you need bloodwork or do you think a physical exam is needed?

I have an appointment for tomorrow. She is not on flea meds...they will suggest that.
They will also offer shots for her joint issues and for her allergies.
I'm not going to do any of it so I don't know what to do other than bloodwork and then let you know.
Anything specific I should test for?
Thank you
