Hi @Dr. Jean Hofve, @Dr. Jeff and @Dr. Christina,
My 2yo kitty has been waking me up in the middle of the night, during wee hours (between 1 am and 6 am), for cuddles and food. She gets 2 to 3 meals a day. She is on a raw food diet, so I can't leave the food out for her. I'm very happy that she has a healthy appetite now (we've been working with Dr. Jeff), and I am happy (and honored) that I get to feed her....but sometimes I get so exhausted from not having enough sleep.
I looked into flower essences (we have all kinds of flower essences by Green Hope Farm and Jackson's Galaxy) and recently bought a bottle of Jackson Galaxy's "Quiet Night" - supposedly, this flower essence can change her sleep pattern. She sleeps during the day, and I believe she is getting enough exercise (she spends time in the yard, we play with her with cat wands, and sometimes she gets treats on snuffle mats). I hesitated giving her this flower essence because my understanding is that, it's cats' nature to hunt for food at the crack of dawn. So my question is, would applying this flower essence mess with her natural instinct? I had reached out to Jackson's Galaxy and their response was that they cannot answer my question because they're not vets or animal behaviorists
. Is it okay to give? How often? For long term? Any insights from you would be greatly appreciated.
