My Cat Dovey is a spayed female. I found her at our City Shelter in 2021.She is approximately 7 years old. She weighs 8.3 lbs. She is very lively and has a good appetite. She is fed 70% fresh food and 30% canned. She was vaccinated and microchipped when I picked her up from Animal Services. Approximately 1 1/2 years ago I noticed a spot on the bridge of her nose. It went away and I thought she may have been injured by other cat who is 3 years younger. But the spot showed up again disappeared and then reappeared. On April 3, 2026, I took her to the regular vet for blood work and an exam. The blood work was very good but she does have gingivitis. I mention the spot on her nose and the vet said he suspected a papilloma and scraped it with his finger. I decided she would have a dental cleaning and the vet said he could remove the growth when he does the dental and also have it biopsied. She really needs the dental, but I don't want to do anything to her nose that is not absolutely necessary. I would like input from the group to see If it is really urgent. I have not had this come up with any of my cats and dogs in the past.
