Hello @Dr. Jeff , @Dr. Christina and everyone

Can you please recommend what to give a cat for immediate pain relief from a soft tissue injury... an alternative when arnica/ruta do not provide relief.

Can you also make a recommendation for immediate pain relief when UTIs are present.

Thank you

Hey Cindy!

Welcome to the HA! forum and thanks for making your first post.

We'd need more context about your question. What are the symptoms, what has been going on medically, what is she eating, how old is she, etc.

Other questions for forum post context, and a helpful video, are at the top of this page.

In general, vitamin C (especially the Vimergy Micro-c), cranberry extract, and d-mannose are pain and symptom-relieving supplements for kitties with UTIs.

There's lots more info in the HA! member resource area about UTIs.

Also, have you had a chance yet to go through the HA! 101 course:

Lastly, environmental enrichment is huge for kitties with Pandora syndrome and symptoms of UTI:

@Dr. Jeff Thanks so much for your reply, recommendations and links relating to UTIs.

The main reason for me posting is a week ago she jumped off the counter and hurt her front leg. She has been limping badly since - it does improve slightly and then she hurts it again. The limping is also much worse from rest. The vet said she had some inflammation by her ankle, he thought arthritic, but that the limping was from a soft tissue elbow injury and told us to give Petcam. Her mood is good, happily kneads blankets with her injured leg, her appetite is a little less than normal.
I tried Arnica, Ruta and continue with the CBD oil but it does not seem to be offering significant relief. I'm not sure what else to try. Is there anything that I can give/do for her that will provide immediate pain relief and then long term, what should I be doing to help her leg heal?
Thank you again

Yes, there is. Homeopathy prescribed by a trained vet homeopath will do both (immediate relief for all of her symptoms as well as long-term improvement).

For example, did you use repeated liquid doses of Arnica 10M?

If you're not already working with a vet homeopath, it would be a great time to add one to her vet care team.

Thank you Dr. Jeff, I will book an appointment with a vet homeopath.

Let us know which homeopath you are considering or if you need help finding one. And read this article for finding veterinarians doing other supportive approaches as well.
