Good morning kind doctors and community! I wanted to provide an update on Bella who is currently a patient with Dr Judy Herman, homeopath vet. I have been administering sulphur to her on a regimen due to continued vomiting. Sometimes it's a clear color, sometimes it's food, sometimes it's hairballs. Chronic. And starting Friday, I came home from the office to find soft poo smeared on the kitchen floor and carpet, so now what is new is it is coming from her other end. I have my kitchen cabinets cleared out and was ready for cabinet refinishing this Weds and Thurs but thankfully was able to reschedule to next Th/Fri. However, to add insult to injury for Bella, the neighbors across the street have had a large home renovation appearing to have had loads of stone and rock dumped off (loud booms) and some sort of foundation or retaining wall being built, even today. Noisy. I am working from home this week thankfully and have an emergency appt today for our local, regular vet for 12:15PM. I have alerted Dr Judy as to the developments. One weird thing, and I assume it is Bella and not her sister Maya who is healthy, but this AM I was wakened to Bella vomiting a clear puddle. My foot went into a small amount of soft poo again on the floor and in her water dish was a small, formed link of feces!! This is not typical. On Friday and this AM Bella was also scooting her bum on the floor, and both times there was poop dangling from either a hair of mine or just from her anus. My mobile, holistic vet has been encouraging an abdominal ultrasound but I didn't want to stress her out, put her under anesthesia or incur high costs but after today, I cannot wait any longer to have her be seen. Her wellness exam is scheduled for October 21, but I will see if they want to run blood tests today. Have you head of cats defecating in their water dish? I have fecal samples I will bring. As for her diet, I had boiled some chicken and have been pretty much feeding her that since Friday eve with a little of her Viva raw food added. Usually she eats just the VIVA, either beef, rabbit, turkey or duck, with Aventi kidney. I had been giving her SP RenaFood along with Aventi the last few years but over the summer, increased vomiting led me to stop the supplements and give her a break. When I tried to re introduce SP rena food, she puked her dinner. So to save $ or maybe her body is telling me no for the Rena food I stopped that and just doing Aventi.
