I just received an email from a member asking about scheduling a full evaluation for her kitty. Here's what it said:
Diagnostic testing revealed intestinal inflammation. The test abnormalities were consistent with either IBD or cancer.
The pet parent was anxious but calm. Not much is worse than uncertainty. Fortunately, her kitty's BEAM (Behavior, Energy, Appetite, Mood) is >90%.
Use BEAM to interpret the severity of any symptom except urinary obstruction in a male cat, or bloat. These are two health challenges where pet parents should go to the ER right away.
Give the indicated remedy on the way to the ER. Many times pets who had curative remedies on the way to the ER, are fine once they arrive.
throwing up either every day or every other day since March. He is not as playful as he once was. But he is happy and eating and asking for food often.
