Hello Dr Jeff, Can you please let me know the dose of green lipped muscle oil for TG the cat - who weighs around 4-5kg - was only able to find the oil in capsule form - 500mg each.
Also ... I wrote down Hydrosol? Can you please remind me what this was for, as well as dosage etc.
Thank you so very much for the consult - I am feeling very empowered with the recommendation - get lost sometimes as to what is the best road to take. Am so very, very grateful for HA!

Dr Jeff

Hi Marijke!

I'm very glad that you feel better empowered after our Holistic Medical Decision Making call!

Sine we don't know how sensitive TG might be to the oil, perhaps puncture the capsule and just start with a drop in each meal.

Also, @Dr. Jean Hofve has more experience with green lipped muscle oil in cats, so she may have additional thoughts.

Hydrosol? Can you please remind me what this was
Great question, thanks for asking. A hydrosol is a special preparation of an essential oil that is especially safe and effective for cats.

Thank you for the link, plus the dosage information 🙂

I don't use krill oil, so am not familiar with dosing. It's my understanding that different brands may be diluted with different oils, which would change the EPA/DHA concentration. Sooo.... it depends.
