Hi @Dr. Jeff I was wondering if gooseberries/goldenberries were safe for dogs. I plugged it into Sage and it said to confirm with your vet. I also tried researching it generally online and sites said either a little bit is fine or it's toxic and it was a distant cousin of the grape even though I thought it was more like a berry like its name so that made it even more nebulous. Lychee (6 y/o 23 lb male intact corgi) was looking at me while I was eating some so I thought I should check first to see if it was okay. Thanks!

true gooseberries that you would buy in the store and eat yourself are fine. They are not related to grapes (which may or may not cause problems). There are some fruits from india of a different species that are not studied.
