DONKEY: Pemphigus Foliaceus

6 year old castrated male Mini Mediterranean Donkey, Stormy, has developed Pemphigus foliaceaus following lice and topical treatment. Has been on Apequel, Hydroxozine, medicated baths, and antibiotics. Corticosteroids are next to be started. The condition has not resolved. Biopsies have been done. What homeopathic remedies may be helpful or other treatments? See attached med file. @dr.Jeff

You are very wise to consider curative homeopathy for him. For the remedies to be effective, they must be used according to the totality of symptoms, past and present. This is a job for a trained and experienced vet homeopath.

Regarding holistic supportive care, there are many possibilities depending on the history and current symptoms.

Are you working with a holistic vet or vet homeopath? If you haven't already taken the HA! 101 course, that might be a good start for you. It applies to all animals.

BTW- I did not see this being called pemphigus in. Stormy's biopsy. However, I did see these words:

"relatively mild"
