Hello hello,
Chamomile the kitten is frequently, possibly always, constipated. She doesn’t poop regularly and when she finally does, a poop will halfway exit and then just stay there for a day or so. She HATES when I try to facilitate the exit so I am rarely successful.
I read in one of the...
Hi again,
I bathed the kittens two weeks ago and have been combing them twice daily - until yesterday they were all clean. Now they have fleas again. Questions:
1. I would like to wash the kittens again but also don’t want to irritate their skin although I’m guessing fleas are worse than dry...
How do I keep it clean? With what? And in terms of the cornstarch - won’t she or her mom just lick it off?
Here is a photo from today of the tail. Also one of the kittens for cuteness.
Hi again,
One of the kittens has a crusty tail. She also seems to have a little bit of yellow smelly diarrhea. I thought the crusts on the tail might be related so I tried to wash her tail but it didn’t come off. The crusts are very hard and at the tip and at the middle. I’m attaching photos...
I am not actively seeing worms. They had fleas and my local vet thought their bellies might indicate worms. They also used to live in a courtyard. Mom is ravenously hungry all the time and very slim which I've read can indicate worms as well.
I will have her stools checked.
Thank you!
Thank you!
Dr. Ellen started them on the one that Kitten Lady recommends as well, so I think I will give them the second and third dose. Mom is on raw now and I will start her on probiotics as well. When the kittens start eating can they get a tiny sprinkle of probiotics too? Anything I can give...
Hi,
I have two little kittens and a mom. Right now mom is getting canned food and I would like to transition her to raw but their vet recommended not doing that until the kittens are older b/c of the risk of salmonella etc (kittens are about 4-5 weeks). I was thinking I could give the, one of...
Hi,
I have a cat that can’t be handled (rescued from the street yesterday) with kittens. I am not sure if they have fleas but if they do what are my options (remember I can’t handle the mom so baths and combing are not an option). Thank you!
What can I add to my cat's food to make it higher in calories? (she is not eating a lot and need to gain weight). (I am addressing the underlying causes as well, but in the meantime, I would love to add some weight on her). Thanks!
