Hi Dr Christina, I aporeciate your advice in remaining calm and will do my best to shake any worry out of my head!!
This is good advice for me in general:).

Hello, I’m wondering if anyone would help me regarding my dog and losing her nail on right hind foot. She is a 3 year old Golden, BEAM is good, despite yesterday’s loss of her toenail which happened while running out in our yard…It was bleeding and we applied pressure until it stopped cleaned...
Hello, I have noticed that my Golden Retriever (age 2) is licking her paws pretty frequently; even so much that you can see a little redness (which I've read is iron in the saliva that turns the fur a pinkish color). We switched her to a raw food diet, (have given mainly lamb and duck). She...
Hi Nancy, I did wonder about that possibility, so I will take a look at the liver especially to see how much she’s actually getting….and will also look at the copper, too. I really appreciate your suggestions! Thank you very much, Jackiei
this is really helpful, Nancy. Thank you for putting...
Hi My almost 2 year old Golden Retriever (not spayed) eating mostly raw food diet) and generally good BEAM has vomited for the past two mornings. Her appetite seems good though after vomiting this morning it took her a little while to get excited to eat but she eventually did. She’s been...
Hi, I’m looking for some guidance as we leave for vacation this week and will be taking our Golden Retriever, 1-1/2 years old….My question has to do with whether she should be allowed to swim in salt water. I’m asking because our last Golden, a male who had seizures did swim in salt water when...
Thank you, Dr Jeff. I hadn’t heard of this procedure that Ginny mentioned. I’ll look up Dr. Lazarus….and check out the HA!! Video course about spaying. 😊
Thank you—good advice! I’ll keep her close and in our yard until I’m sure that she’s past the fertile period. We are waiting because the breeder feels that it helps them with issues (hormonal, cancer, etc) in addition to growing ((better bone structure, etc)).
Hi I have a specific question related to the heat cycle….Sophie has not bled in a few days. I think that this is the time that she is most fertile. Does anyone know how long this lasts in general? She’s doing fine, I’ve been keeping her on a leash and I’m out backyard as I don’t want her to...
Thank you Dr Jeff: I think I’m not measuring BEAM as I should….I’ll look into that. I appreciate the suggestion about the organ meats and the farmhounds site—I’ll definitely add some to her diet.
