Hi everyone
I’m working wt a small dog who was diagnosed with glaucoma in her eye. At this time she will keep her eye but almost lost it last night. She spent the night at ER and is home with meds and surgery to manage the progressions being considered.
The pressure was very high last night now under control. She was stressed and in a lot of pain but better today and is eating and readjusting back at home, surely shaken. Eyesight in her affected eye was predicted at about 20% wt good chance of improving if the pressure stays down.
I am thinking that cold or warm compresses may feel soothing, as well as near infrared light therapy to address any inflammation.
I’d love your thoughts and advice on this sweet heart of a dog. She’s 6 yrs old.

Great job, Michele, to be curious about what may be soothing. Definitely test each one, paying attention to how she responds. The infrared light is good, too. Since she is recovered well, your love and healing intention is working well so keep that up.

Of course, if you have a homeopathic or Chinese medicine veterinarian, that would be the very best to completely resolve post op discomfort and decrease pressure, maybe without drugs. Or use deep energy healing like WEBB, Bengston, etc.

You say you are working with - so I assume you will not be living with her forever. Let anyone who will be her forever person that dogs adapt wonderfully to even being fully blind.

Thank you, she is a dear friend who's dog I've work with as well, we do not live together. As you may know I work with animals holistically. My friend is devastated about this, she can't currently face the possibility of that. Right now I'm working to help her be in the moment to enjoy their time and stay as positive as she can about the future, which is somewhat promising right now.
Any recommendations for some supplemental support for her immune system/anti inflammation/ eyes?
Any recommendations for a Holistic and Chinese animal medicine vet in Los Angeles Ca.? She lives in Calabasas.

definitely go to the find a vet article. Free for her to go to. Maybe at the same time go over who may be closest to her, then you check them out. Hard for me to tell, not knowing the area. One whose small write up on a site under development sounded ok. Home | Joan Winter DVM (from the TCVM). There are many more websites and you may find a real gem for her.

Though he surprises me sometimes by prescribing drugs, Dr. Rick Palmquist is an amazing holistic, spiritual veterinarian and poet. Of course she can work virtually with a homeopath. Here are a few: Dr. Adriana Sagrera - Natural Pet Care - Metairie / New Orleans, Louisiana - Dr. Adriana Sagrera, DVM, Dr. Judy Stolz – www.drstolz.com (long time homeopathic veterinarians); Kristina Fleming: contact via the website www.lifeabundant.us, or via email: [email protected]; Monica Turenne - Virtual Vet Visits in Michigan & Ohio | Veterinary Telemedicine | Dr. Turenne; Marcia Craig (FL) – fill out contact form at drmarciacraig.com to schedule appt.
