Has anyone ever had their cats coat have a lot of static cling? At night if I pet Teddy coat in the dark lots of sparks???? Is this because his skin is dry? Timmy too but not as much. Any comments. They are not itching, not sure why this is. He does have more white flecks in his coat than Timmy, could this be just dry skin? Thanks.

Hi JoAnn-

This is an interesting phenomenon, isn't it?

I too used to have a pet whose coat would spark and crackle (most noticeable in the dark). Kinda spooky, isn't it?

My kitty's coat was not dry however.

For Teddy, yes, I would consider adding a few drops (to test his sensitivity) of Ultra EFA to his diet to decrease the dryness.

You can also moisturize his coat to decrease the static using HyLyt moisturizing spray (or similar).

@jenbridwell, do you have other suggestions?
