Raw Beef for Cats

I am wondering if it’s ok to feed my cats straight raw beef with no breaks and no end? And nothing else? Regardless of their older age? Or do they need occasional fish too?

No! Meat alone is not a balanced diet. A cat in the wild eats the whole animal: bones, blood, organs, fur, everything--never just meat. There are dozens of reports of cats fed meat-only diets who broke multiple bones because their bodies had leached the calcium out to keep them alive.

Raw meat should always be frozen for 72 hours before feeding to kill encysted worms and other parasites. However, freezing does not kill bacteria or viruses, and the U.S. meat, poultry, and fish supply is quite contaminated.
