Puppy toilet training

two small breed puppies
Ages - 4 months ... purchased two months ago.
second puppy is 7 months ... adopted a couple of weeks ago.
Puppies are soiling indoors and owner decided to put them outside during day and crating at night.
I have offered to try find a wholistic solution to this issue, hence this request for advice?

The house-training issue is almost always resolved over time with patience and perseverance (and gentle training).

this would also be a great time for them to take the 101 course and consider becoming members to get all their puppy questions answered directly.

And for them to create their health care team, including a holistic vet.
