Hello everyone sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning my almost 9 yo neutered male French bulldog did something to his paw. He was on my room the whole time, unattended for a few minutes and asleep with me the rest of the time. In the am he was limping. My other dog had mysteriously hurt his right front paw the evening before and had gotten a lot of attention so I honestly thought the Frenchie was mimicking him. Today however, it's clear that there is something really wrong. He won't put any pressure on it and it's slightly swollen. It's where the human wrist would be. When I bend it in or try to it clearly hurts him. I've been giving him arnica, but admittedly I didn't start until today. I'm worried it may be broken, but also maybe just sprained? Beyond keeping him off it, trying to ice (he doesn't like that), and arnica is there something else I could be doing of waiting to see if he needs an X-ray?

It does look like he is putting some pressure on it, so a bit less likely to be broken (though could be small bones). Try warm compresses rather than ice as sometimes that works better.

If you have a vet homeopath who has treated them, check in because they may have an idea of the constitutional remedy.

Reiki, loving intention, other energy healing you probably know can be amazing in their healing ability.
