Below is part of the footnote from Organon paragraph 2 that describes the body's responses to stressors ("noxious agents").

Dr. Joe will be starting the webinar discussion of the principles of healing with it.

When made ill by noxious agents, our life principle cannot do anything else than express its depression caused by disturbance of the regularity of its life, by symptoms, by means of which the intelligent physician is ask for aid. If this is not given, it strives to save by increasing the ailment, especially through violent evacuations, no matter what this entails, often with the largest sacrifices or destruction of life itself.

@kingsgrlie (or anyone) can you tell me what he means by "depression"?

Kingsgrlie - depression refers to the vital force/life principle being made weaker, made ill, not being happy.
This footnote is key to understanding how your pets become ill and what happens when you do not find the best treatment (which can be different for each pet).

Noxious agents of course are ones you normally think of like environmental toxins, toxins in vaccines, drugs, flea and tick chemicals, toxins in processed foods and even holistic treatments that are not correct for your individual pet. The list may also include insufficient mental and physical exercise, suppressing symptoms (like using steroids or other treatments, even some holistic, to stop red, itchy skin or ears).

What is most important about this paragraph is that it is the life force, not the "noxious agents", that causes the "symptoms" and if not properly treated, continues to produce more symptoms.

Too often we blame the trigger (noxious agent) as causing the symptom. While this may happen, as in scalding water causing a burn, most symptoms are caused by the vital force, so the best treatments will be to treat the vital force and not merely try to stop the symptoms.
