Kidney Issues with my pup

I bet this is the thread you referred to in your email.

I didn't respond because I must have missed the questions. Sorry about that.

Hi Dr Jeff,

Luke has been doing great. I've been giving him the Nux Vomica twice a day like you recommended. I've also been giving him cooked meat and veggies not pureed. He's had a great appetite and his energy is great as well. This morning he ate fine, then he started looking for more water. I give him 2 ounces every 15 minutes. I guess I gave him too much because he vomited the water. I gave him a dose of the Nux Vomica this morning, I will give him another now to calm his stomach. It's been hot and he does not like the heat, so I had to bribe him to come for a walk. I'll take him out when it cools down for a nice neighborhood walk. I have such a great feeling that he is healing magnificently!

Wonderful. Me too! :dog2: 🤩

He's getting back to his best life!

I guess I spoke too soon. Luke vomited water 3 times this afternoon. Steve and I are the bad guys. Last night Luke had been feeling so good so we decided to give him some steak which had some spices and 5 tops of popcorn! I know!!! We just felt he was feeling so good. So the poor dog paid for our stupid decision today. Would you recommend giving him something to coat his esophagus and or stomach to help calm it down?

No worries Donna!

Did his BEAM drop when he was vomiting?

Fasting is usually best at first. Then small amounts of organic aloe vera liquid.

BTW-ups and downs, sometimes for years on end, are to be expected during the healing proces.

Hi Dr Jeff,

Luke had another vomiting spell where so much liquid came out! Is the water just storing up in his stomach? He’s been peeing but where is all this water coming from?

Should we have an X-ray done to see if there’s something in the esophagus or that flap is not closing right?

This is a big symptom! What would you do for your dog?

Thanks,
Donna

Hi Dr Jeff,

Luke was doing fabulous again for 3 days, eating, drinking (he loves the ice balls by the way), peeing, but he hasn't pooped today is day 4.

Been dosing on your recommendations 15x, 3x per day, and he was doing wonderful. Eating his venison with bone broth and I made cubes with pumpkin and bone broth. And of course his chia water and 1/8 spoon of slippery elm. He looks well hydrated and back to Luke. Jane did an energy session on him yesterday and my fried brought her tuning forks and did distant tuning on him as well.

He slept through the night and got up about 5:45 and I took him out to pee and was hoping for a poop. We came in and I gave him a small sip of water. Then waited until around 7:30 and he was ready to eat. I rubbed the Nux Vomica on his gums, made the chia water, warmed his venison in beef bone broth, put it together in his bowl with a pumpkin cube and he ate almost all of it.

Then we played the sniff game with some food from Badlands Ranch, it has lots of vitamins, only a few for him to sniff out. I waited about 1/2hour then gave him his ice ball. He loves it so much! I was cooking for Steve when he gets home and Luke was sleeping. I took him out for another walk and he had another sip of water. He went to lay in his donut. I was doing all kinds of things around the house. As I was walking in the bedroom, he got up and vomited. Not as much as the last 2 times, about 1/2 cup. I rubbed the Nux Vomica on his gums and he went to lay down and he is sleeping now.

I feel this is just a blip and he will be feeling better this afternoon. He is getting much better, but I'm going to keep giving him the Nux Vomica 3 times a day if you feel that would be good for him? Three steps forward and one step back...

Any other suggestions, I would appreciate.

Thank you,
Donna
