Follow up vet visit?

My puppy (6 months old) was hospitalized last month for eating 1 or 2 allieve. He came back to me with a bottle of allieve (that only had 1 or 2 in the bottle) and it was empty. I couldn't find the pills anywhere. He was in the hospital for a few days and they gave him meds and intravenous fluids. Thankfully, the kidney values were normal all 3 days. They wanted me to follow up with the vet a week later, but I wanted to wait since I was reeling from the 2600 bill. His BEAM has been good and I didn't notice any signs that would warrant a follow up visit. Recently however, his tail has been down some of the time, but I'm thinking that it's because he might be cold vs. any kidney issues. Wanted to get some feedback if I should follow up with the vet. I didn't want to put more stress on him or me which is why I've not done that so far. Thank you!

This might sound silly - but before you go back to the vet for another blood test - could you put a little coat on him, and see if his tail gets perkier? I'm betting he's just fine, so love him hard and don't worry.

I'm glad that your pup is OK after his ingestion.

I agree with Ginny about assessing if he's chilly.

However, if you are concerned, a vet visit and exam (not necessarily for tons of tests) is a good idea.
