Cat vomiting

My cat Chicago has been throwing up starting 36 hours ago. She is a Russian Blue and eats only raw meat. Chicago got spayed recently and then her incision got infected. We treated it with antibiotics and its fully closed now. She stopped getting antibiotics on Friday (3/20) and then seemed to be fine until 3/24 in the evening she didn't want her dinner and slept for several hours. She threw up food later that night. Yesterday we gave her some baby food that was just beef in beef broth. She ate a small amount in the morning and slept most of the day. She didn't eat anything for dinner and then threw up a hairball in the middle of the night. Today she has been acting more herself, playing a little bit, watching the birds outside etc. We got her to eat a little canned salmon today and within 5 min she threw it all up but has seemed ok since, went back to watching birds and looking out the windows. I'm just wondering what we could and should do for her at this point? I'd like to not have to take her into the vet if at all possible. Thank you

Cayla, you said she was acting more like herself today, so you may be able to wait on the veterinary appointment.

Do you have a local holistic vet? A virtual homeopathic vet? Is your local vet who did the surgery nice with cats? That may change your decision...and it is the weekend coming up.

Feed tiny amounts of food at a time.

If no support from holistic vets, if she keeps vomiting every time she eats, it may be best to see if she can be examined tomorrow if you did not today.

If she is eating and keeping food down and still being alert, then gets worse over the weekend, we have just learned of a new corporation running ERs - over 100 so far in the US - where you are with the cat the whole time, and they are committed to compassion for you and the animals. So far I have heard 3 good reports. VEG ERs.
