Thank you for the informational articles on feline sarcopenia and DJD/OA. I read them but I didn't see anything to confirm if muscle loss is irreversible. Your thoughts on this? I don't believe I have mentioned this, but earlier this year I noticed what sounded like Maya had a nail clicking on my kitchen floor, until I noticed that noise still occurred when she walked on my carpet, which told me it was likely bone related. I have raised this to my mobile holistic vets and will also mention it to my conventional vet when I bring her for her wellness exam in a month. Recently, my mobile vet who gives Bella and Maya a monthly chiropractic adjustment, did a physical exam of Maya and mentioned she felt Maya had no muscle mass in her right hip and also her left knee was clicking when she adjusted it. She suggested Flexadin Advanced, Myos for cats (which I learned about from HA! and had been buying it but stopped), but rather a different Myos product called

Muscle and Joint Formula with Green Lipped Mussel​

as well as YuMove. I did notice the professional article mentioned the positives of omega 3 which I give both kitties as well as sardines which I learned from you.

No!

Muscle loss and sarcopenia are totally reversible. In pets and people.

Tiggy's sarcopenia resolved in 20245/2025 using the sardine/whey protein/structured water mix.

@Dr. Jean Hofve @Dr. Jeff thank you both for answering my earlier questions. Maya loves massages but I noticed recently she is a little nervous if I gently massage by her hips. Good news though! Today I received Jackie's AnimalSol RLT mat through the mail. Excited to start my own RLT treatments with Maya and her sister Bella. I'll keep you posted.
