The swelling feels hard outside but fluidity inside and consists of two pups like a peanut. They are not hot or cold. Just warm like her skin. She is uncomfortable when handling it. She is sensitive when touching her lower back.
Local 24/7 clinics are full. I sent the photos to my local vet, she is fully booked until March. Since we scheduled an appointment to draw blood for Dr. Dodds next Tuesday, the vet asks the tech to look at her.
Although the vet performed her Ovarian Spare Spay did reply with the below comments...
We are scheduled to see the vet for our annual exam on Feb 1st. Not sure I can wait. Although I may not be able to see her due to the long waiting schedule.
I noticed an abscess on my 7-year-old cocker spaniel's uterus or urinary tract. Her BEAM is good. No discharge, No odour. The abscess consists of two small masses in series. See the photos attached. Is it possibly a sign of pyometra? The mass is on the left side. She has one ovary, and I...
I didn't cut the barbs before I removed the quill.
We were in the woods. I have no tools with me. I struggled to keep her still and used my hand to pull most of the quills out quickly. I worried about the quills embedding deep into the skin. It is not a professional job, but I have been...

I have followed your recommendations and she is back to her normal BEAM.
We are drawing whole blood + serum tomorrow to send off to Dr. Jean Dodds for their annual blood test - Complete Thyroid Panel with CBC. I am also planning to take additional serum to send to the VDI...
Thanks Dr. Jeff!

Thank you Dr. Sara! I will look up the remedies. Would 200CC, 1 pallet per day for 3 days be a suitable dosage to start? I stop the pallets if she shows signs of fatigue during the 3 days and observes for a couple of weeks.

My 7 years old female working cocker spaniel is in estrus season now. She had an ovarian spayed at 3 years old. The vet only kept 1 ovary ( right side). She shows discomfort in her lower back and psoas ( mild pain). Supersensitive and dislike to be touched. Extremely hungry and emotionally more...
I am planning my annual bloodwork check-up for my 10 yrs old Miniature Schnauzer. Our annual test normally involved with full thyroid panel plus CBC blood work analyzer by Hemopet. As she is approaching senior years, I am adding LDH and Ionized Calcium as cancer pre-marker. Are there any...
