Not sure where to write this but @Dr. Jeff i wanted to let you know, Gixxer passed sunday late in the night at around 1:20am. He had a collapsing seizure on saturday, then 2 on sunday and he was releasing diarrhea when collapsing. From that we made the choice to put him down :( it hasnt been...
I applied it to his belly before bed and he slept throughout the whole night! No pacing! Yay! Also… yesterday he only ate a handful of small pieces of sardines and chicken… he just ate a cooked steak today though. Is that okay? If he doesn’t eat anything to just give him what he eats even if its...
Okay perfect i just found it on amazon thanks! And this can be applied to his belly?
I got 70 beats in 30 seconds so i guess x2 is 140…
And amazing because thats exactly what i do, out loud i love yous from across the room 🥰
so i tried rubbing it on his belly but i dont think it worked unless it takes longer to kick in? The main ing is ashwaganda. The flower ing is the last one. So i’m not sure what to do. I really want to give him something to call down his heart. Is it normal for it to beat fast? I wish i asked...
The tincture i have is “Be Clam by NaturPet” for dogs and cats. It says orally but like you said if its flower essence i can rub it on him?
Going to get the snuffle mat today for sure and put all his favourite treats in there :)
You mentioned CBD? Does it have to be specifically formulated for...
You’re probably right i didnt know there was a difference. His heart beats very fast when he is laying down or standing but i havent been able to see when he is in deep sleep he always wakes up when i get close…
I went to go purchase the stress stopper but unfortunately they only ship that...
@Dr. Jeff i appreciate our call from yesterday! I feel better with gixxer :) i just remembered i forgot to ask about his heart rate! If thats alright i’m just wondering if the jacksons galaxy stress stopper would help slow down his heart because its been really fast like way over 30 beats a minute.
Thank you Dr. Jeff. I appreciate your reply. So she is doing a test of the fluid right now. I will get back to you. So i guess this is goodbye for gixxer then? He survived the procedure of removing the liquid. So he is stable to come home with us but she says the fluid could come back in days or...
@Dr. Jeff we had to rush Gixxer to the pet hospital because he collapsed and had trouble breathing… the vet said he has water around his lungs and he might have either cancer or heart failure… she is saying he doesn’t have much time left. We have a call booked with you for monday. I hope we can...
Thank for the reply and sorry it took so long to get back!
So, we haven’t gone to get him checked because we don’t have a vet we trust in the area… would you suggest booking a call with a vet here to see him?
Also, i do give him cartilage bones and he likes chicken feet but he doesnt always...

I saw this being recommended to someone else, would this help my dog? @Dr. Jeff
1. Gixxer/15/male
2. Neutered
3. Mix: English bulldog, husky, boxer
4. Approx. 55lbs
5. B/E - I noticed he has been more stressed than usual these past few months. It usually happens when my mom leaves the house because she is his main caretaker. (So from this i’m noticing i will help more with...
We are trying sweet potato now and hopefully that helps. He still hasn’t pooped in a few days. We are keeping his BEAM in check with daily walks multiple times a day.
He tries to poop but nothing comes out, he will be in his poop position and walk trying to get the poop out (if you can visualize that). His BEAM has been great actually so perhaps it’s just the food switch? Is there some food I should add to his diet to help him poop? @Dr. Jeff
Thank you so much for your reply Jean and Jeff! I have fantastic news!! Gixxers urine is back to normal! We switched his diet to only protein…. Mixed with chicken broth! So we give him raw grass fed beef at dinner time. Then in the morning with give him boiled chicken with celery and parsley in...
And as for the recovery from the anaesthesia from his teeth and gum cleaning. We are not 100% sure unfortunately. And he has not taken any blood work as of recently. @Dr. Jeff
Thank you for your response! Gixxer has been eating meat. We started giving him raw grass fed beef and he loves it. We also give him boiled chicken. We are keeping him on meat only for now because I read here about the pH of the dog needs to be specific, which requires a meat based diet...
Update on Gixxer: he’s starting to eat chicken by himself. But it seems we still have to syringe his other meat into his mouth by pureeing it. I’m wondering if his UTI can be treated without antibiotics? We were given antibiotics which I will attach a photo of here. Please let me know if it is...
