This happens after every grooming appointment. Looking for a recommendation on what I can put on his paws/belly that would be safe to lick off. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Betty
Yes, he had a physical checkup a few months ago. So nothing there. Louis has been barking alot since early this year after he started to mature. He starts right after breakfast and goes from there. It's very difficult to live with.
He's in his comfy pen right now as that is the only way he can...
Louis was using suzy's cbd, but I didn't find it that helpful. I will try another brand that you suggested.
I'll look into the animal communicator and we can discuss later this week.
I also am trying elemental solutions chill out which is a herbal treatment for dogs. You sprinkle the herbs...
Thanks for your thoughts Dr. Jeff. The barking has been non stop all day long some days and Louis will not pay attention to me when I ask him to. He does get outdoor time and that doesn't seem to help anymore. He has a hard time settling down when he gets in the barking mode. He has also...
My shih tzu ( 19 months old, male, not neutered) definitely has a hyper arousal problem. Constant barking at everything. We can't watch tv without him barking constantly at everything, not just animals which are in every commercial so I can't avoid. He's had 2 trainers and Training doesn't work...
A good friend took her dog to Dr. Noonan for a checkup, found a tumor and sent them to the Norwalk VCA animal hospital.
The tumor is on her rib cage and its a sarcoma. She is scheduled for a scan to find the exact location. The estimate for the surgery is in
the $8-10,000 range.
Is there...
Yes, any animal, bird, chipmunk, squirrel or person who is outdoors. He seems to be very prey driven, even on walks. But doesn't bark at the birds/squirrels when we walk, only out the window at home.
The nux vomica gave Louis energy, but he still has soft stool with bloody mucus. So no real improvement with bowel movements. He wakes up several times overnight to do his business, but doesn't really poop during the day except for early morning after his breakfast. I do not want to re dose...
So, Louis poops improved for a couple of weeks but now he is back to having very soft formed stool with mucus/blood on and off since July 2nd. His beam is good. I gave him a q tip water dose of nux vomica 30 c on July 5th with little improvement. His barking did increase with his energy which...
I haven't tried nux as of yet. No diarrhea last night so that's a good thing. The other interesting thing is he was drinking a lot of water, more than usual the day before the diarrhea incident. Would you suggest the nux if this happens again?
Louis the shih tzu has issues with being able to tolerate different foods in his diet. Whenever I try to add a different protein (even slowly) he gets diarrhea and he is up all night long. This has been going on the last several nights. I changed his food back to plain organic turkey chop meat...
Thank you! I truly appreciate the info. Louis is 14 1/2 month shih tzu and is not neutered.
I also feel his cortisol / adrenaline is off balance. I am not able to keep him away from the windows in our living area as its all glass with lots of exposure to the backyard.
What I did find helpful...
So many months later, Louis is still barking more than ever. sometimes all day long.
He barks at the birds outdoors and there is no way to cover up the windows. I've had several trainers and the last suggestion which I haven't tried is a bark collar. I may need to try this as the barking...
