If you stop using probiotics, they stop working. The fiber that comes with good quality probiotics also doesn't work if you don't give it! ;-) It's excellent to rotate different ones, but I consider it important to give some probiotics daily, especially when there are GI issues or if antibiotics...
If you're feeding *only* meat, there are a number of vitamins and minerals that may need to be supplemented, calcium being the biggest one.
If you are feeding a raw meat-based *diet* (either a commercial product or from a good homemade recipe) that is already balanced, no need to add calcium...
My views on salt are from my own research. I have heart problems so doctors are always freaking out about salt. Turns out, salt has no effect on blood pressure else *except* in a few individuals who are sensitive. My blood pressure runs too low so I eat a ton of salt to even be functional...
Tamari is made from soy, which unless organic is GMO. I wouldn't worry about the amount of sodium in a few drops. The "medical" concerns about sodium are vastly overstated. Salt may improve taste and hence appetite, which are way more important for a sick kitty.
I disagree about the garlic...
She should still be getting the probiotic. Why did you stop giving it? Since she hasn't been getting it, that may explain the stool since the fiber is an important part of that supplement. Once is stable on that then we can see if she needs any additional fiber.
I guess I don't understand the question. She is already getting fiber in the probiotics, she isn't having any problems, it sounds like the vet is okay with how she's doing; why do you want to change it?
More likely from the big demands on her body from pregnancy and nursing, unlikely worms have anything to do with that. It won't hurt anything to wait to talk to Dr. Herman.
Um, has everyone *met* our US Postal Service? The mail has gotten slower and slower the last few years (the uppy-ups have made some very questionable and unfortunate changes).
That is a very important point about cruciferous vegetables. I love 'em, but being hypothyroid myself, I've been told...
Well today is your lucky day! I was talking to a colleague and found out you can get Amphojel (a phosphate binder) in Canada! It's not needed until blood phosphorus gets a little higher or there are worse symptoms, but it may become important. (It's not tasty, so you don't want to use it until...
I think I may have not been clear about Abraham... not that the animals love their experience here (heck, I don't always love MY experience here!) but they appreciate their ability to *have* the experiences that allow them to learn and grow on their own eternal paths.
Animals, people, abused...
I don't know what is available in Canada, sorry.
Here is some info on seizures that may be helpful. Seizures and Epilepsy | Little Big Cat - Dr. Jean Hofve
But I would strongly recommend homeopathic treatment! This is not a minor issue and needs to be addressed.
Here's my philosophy: I recommend TC Instincts and meat. It's been a solid, proven combination for decades.
Now, whatever you want to add, you're free to do so, but then you are doing something different and I can't vouch for it.
But now we are talking about a particular condition, so then it...
Great and deep discussion, thanks everyone! I agree with the principles Drs. Christina and Jeff have talked about.
As far as life path or "contract," I highly recommend you read the book "Journey of Souls" by the late Dr. Michael Newton. You will understand completely. It's not scary or weird...
