Cat Teeth

Great questions - you are really thinking ahead!

I would also purchase 30c Hypericum, as that is particularly good for nerve pains and the gums have a lot of nerves. After the Arnica (and you may want to start with the Arnica and only go to the drugs if she seems sore), or if the arnica is not helping, you could try the Hypericum (mix it up as Dr. jeff said for the Arnica).

And the very best is not to worry, send positive thoughts, visualize healing and all the "way of being" Dr. Jeff talks about in his book.

Keep us posted.

Dr. Jean - there are a lot more ingredients than listed in the post, that I could see - for the Pet Wellbeing Dental topical - Maybe you could check it out.

Oh, definitely do all of this at once... get it over with! Otherwise you just repeat the same amount of pain multiple times. (Ask my sister who had her wisdom teeth removed two at a time and was just as miserable twice, while I had them all out at once and was glad to be done!)

That is a reasonable drug protocol for dental surgery like this. I am not a fan of ketamine, but most conventional vets use it.

This will be fairly painful, and using meloxicam for a couple of days is fine. I generally use Arnica 1M post-op for dentals, one dose immediately after, repeat if he seems to be getting more painful. BEAM will tell you if he needs another dose.

@BettinaT I agree with Dr Jean H. I have used conventional drugs in serious procedures like multiple extractions which I have had done with my kitties in the past. I would use the buprenex syringes for my kitties pain control they gave me and back to my holistic regimen and raw food diet after through the initial healing. Good luck!

@Dr. Jeff
Is there anything I should focus on after the surgery, besides checking if he’s in pain and whether he needs arnica?

And what about the healing of the areas where they removed the teeth?
Would propolis be beneficial there?

And is there anything else I can do to support him during healing and help cleanse his system after the visit to the vet where they give him various medications?
@BettinaT I administer reiki or EFT, :)

OK, I'll tackle these: Yes on feeding salmon, with all the usual considerations about source, parasites, etc. - i.e., if you are a west coast feeder, be wary of salmon poisoning in local fish. Canned, cooked, or east coast/Atlantic sounces are fine. The bacterium in question is found in the liver and meat of certain West Coast fish from certain freshwater aquifers, from a fluke living therein.

Reiki and EFT are hands-on modalities/techniques, about which you may read more on this site and others, which work with the body's energy to promote healing and relieve pain. Not to worry if you don't use them, but you may wish to educate yourself about these and others.

Today we went to the vet. My cat did so well, and now 6 teeth have been removed. The vet said that because some of the big teeth had big roots and they had to dig more into the jaw to get the teeth out, they had to give more medicine along the way.
I'm attaching a picture here so you can see the medicine he has been given today.

The vet said I should give loxicom for 7 days.
But because I bought arnica, I would rather use it than loxicom.
How long should I give arnica?
And should I start with it tomorrow?

When the vet was done, and my cat was waking up from anesthesia, the vet gave him 2 times loxicom. 1 time injected into the neck and 1 time into the venous catheter

All Atlantic salmon (Canada, Iceland, Norway, Ireland, Scotland, etc.) are farmed, with all the problems and toxicities associated with farmed fish. Wild-caught Pacific salmon (1/3 of which are hatchery raised) are okay. Canned or lightly cooked are great. Personally I do not recommend feeding any fish raw due to parasite risks. See Why Fish is Dangerous for Cats

And will it be okay that my cat from tomorrow gets his raw meat again, If I just cut it out into small pieces?

Start Arnica immediately. Repeat as needed (signs of pain). IF that doesn't seem to be enough, then you can add loxicam.

You can offer regular diet even tonight, and cutting into smaller pieces is perfect.

Should i not wait to, tomorrow? The vet say he have got so much medication and loxicom , so i should wait to tomorrow with giving loxicom

And can i do something for him, to clean the medication out of the system ?

Yesterday when I tried to dab a cotton swab with arnica on his gums, but can i do that today, when he has been stitched?

@Dr. Jeff
Are there other ways arnica can be given?

Arnica is not a drug, it can (and should) be given right away. It will help jump-start the healing process. If you can just dab a little of the liquid in the corner of the mouth (just on the lips) that is good enough. It just needs to contact the mucous membrane.

I would follow Dr. Jean's advice (to use Arnica as often as needed, and then give a loxicam if you think he's still uncomfortable.

What potency of Arnica did you get? 10M?

The sooner you start, the sooner he fully detoxes and heals. The medications all lower cellular energy and may slow healing.

Yes!
@Dr. Jeff

Yes, there are many ways to give the Arnica.

Quantum doses like Arnica can be given on any mucous membrane, by sniffing the cup, etc.
