Question 1:
What happens on a first vet visit, re: vaccines, for an abandoned dog with history unknown? He did smell of cow poop when washed in a bath. We do know what he’s ate or been exposed to. Is there a way to check if he’s already had vaccines? I want to protect him from all unnecessary vaccines! We are a couple hours from a holistic vet and I’m seeking to empower myself before vet discussion.

Question 2:
Does vaccine shedding affect animals the same as humans? Ex: visits to a vet with vaccine presence &/or other animals freshly vaccinated? Do you have any holistic preventative suggestions for vaccine shedding for animals (or people)?

Question 3:
I heard, while researching local vets there’s live virus vaccines or vaccines with dead virus cells. What type do you recommend to protect animals from short or long term side effects?

Thank you for this form & community!

Hey Catherine!

Thanks so much for rescuing your new pup.

1. Ah, great question! The typical conventional action is to give every shot at once (Distemper, parvo, lepto, Lyme, rabies etc.).

You might want to only give one at a time. And/or have a vaccine titer run to check if he already has any circulating antibodies.

2.

Animals are way less susceptible to getting sick from shedding, but yes, we occasionally see it.

For both the answer lies on the Path to Wellness, starting with food, exercise, joy and those things that optimize immune function and the inner terrain:

3. There is no live rabies vaccines however the best immunity from the others are with the modified live virus vaccines.

Stick with TF (Thimerosol Free) rabies and definitely no mRNA vaccines.

Lastly, the HA!! member 101 course, vaccination ebook and other vaccine resources might help your HMDM.
