My 6 year old male lab boxer mix is at the hospital right now after being taken in to the ER last night. I have an appt with Dr. Jeff tomorrow at 4:30 but his situation is critical. They said he is responding well to the meds but not out of the woods yet. The esophageal dilation, I believe, is the main concern. When I go see him tonight what can I give him to help his paralysis and raise his chances of getting to come home alive? His myostenia gravis is due to some toxin He ingested, possibly from organophosphate contamination of chicken feed.

How much time does he spend every day running around the farm?
The diagnostic label of myasthenia (have they done the tests to confirm the diagnosis?) and the possible OP toxicity are way, way less important than his susceptibility to them which is partially based on his happiness, outdoor exposure, and exercise.

Arthur was 100% normal on Monday and Monday night. He is outside all the time. He comes in for spells. Sometimes he comes in and sleeps all day but we try to keep him outside. He is a phenomenally loyal guardian. He always stays on the property and protects everything we have. The vets have a certain diagnosis but how he got it is up in the air. He has improved salivation, not drooling as much. His lips are not as droopy. Their big concern is the mega esophagus. They say he’s aspirating a lot and has pneumonia from it. The esophagus is why they tell me he’s not out of the woods yet. The internal medicine vet had me check ingredients in my cattle starter and other feeds. We went through any possibilités we could think of. My Arthur has never been to vet or had any vaccines since he was a puppy. Three and a half weeks ago we took him to the vet and he got a rabies vaccine and started SimpericaTrio because his fleas and hot spots were out of hand and nothing was working. It is well known in Georgia that this is one of the worst years for fleas. He’s never had a problem like he did this year. My calf is covered as well. (I will seek advice for her later) Vet claims no connection between meds/vaccines and his current ailments. But I’m skeptical.

Hmmm...
Tonight I visited my sweet Arthur. He is going to get better. I just know it. I am excited for him. I’m so glad we have homeopathy and that our Creator blessed us with remedies that heal! I dosed him with a dose of phos 30c for his primary ailment of megaesophagus and his saliva improved so much the vet commented on it. He is getting a new bed out of this deal and yummy soft food so he might even think it was worth it! I have to build him a Bailey Chair in the morning before I go get him.
