Hi, first post, so sorry if I miss something! Sasha, 12 year old GSD/Boxer mix, spayed, vaccinated, home cooked diet primarily (Honest Kitchen stew while camping). Had a malignant tumor removed from her chest Sept 2025; diagnosed with hip dysplasia 7 years ago. Excellent BEAM except a flare up of hip stiffness, perhaps pain, recently, which is rare (about 2x per year). Monthly injections of Adequan, along with massage, heat, core strengthening exercises, lots of walking and squirrel chasing, and lots of singing and dancing and tricks. Question, which I have asked of her homeopathic vet but received no response after a week: does Gabapentin, Amantadine, or Deracoxib interact negatively with any homeopathic remedies, specifically Ruta/Calcarea, Scrophularia nodosa/Sulphur, and Carcinosin? Thank you.

Homeopathic medicines are selected by matching the totality of symptoms (over the whole life) and general characteristics to the symptoms demonstrating in tests of homeopathic medicines. One is selected, and if correct, will often eliminate the need for adequan or other drugs. Who is your homeopath?

You are asking about a number of homeopathic medicines - usually one at a time is used, though not always when cancer is being treated. It would not be good to start a chemical drug at the same time you are starting a new homeopathic remedy or increasing the potency as it could confuse the evaluation of the effectiveness of the remedy.

Your job is to help evaluate the response by tracking symptoms. One member benefit is the Healthy Dog Journal helps this. Head to the library and click on "homeopathy" to read about cure, palliation, suppression and access to 6 days of live classes on homeopathy that were recorded. And even more homeopathy webinars over the years.

Another area I would recommend is to listen to the different energy healing presentations and choose one or more to learn to help the body rebalance.

Thank you. Dr. Charles Loops has prescribed an alternating sequence of the meds within every 5 days. She has been taking these since December. The chemical drugs have been rare, but used before. I am a Level 3 Let Animals Lead practitioner and teacher. She has had a journal for most of the 11 years I have had her. Thanks again for your help!
