Probably not for a young, well balanced pup like Kobe. In general, and as with any addition to the diet, some GI issues are possible for pets who already are sensitive to diet changes.

Over the decades I have heard many people using green tripe as part of their dogs's diets.
Just do not feed the bleached tripe sometimes found in the grocery stores.

And just lately we've been very dependent on it, as my big boy had developed an enlarged prostate which required a soft diet to allow for defecation. While we are dealing with the issue, he has been eating a lot of tripe, alone or mixed with other elements, and I can thus be sure he is getting all the nutrition he needs.
