On 5/14/20 the molecular biology journal "Cell." had a few important pre-press articles about immunity and covid.

First, preliminary results look like we will develop immunological memory to this virus. Meaning that SARs-CoV-2 won't take our immune systems by surprise again.

Second is even more relevant to the re-opening of the economy. The title of the article says it all:

Trained immunity: a tool for reducing susceptibility and severity of SARS-CoV-2 infection[

The authors discuss an approach to reducing serious illness from CoV-2 using the principle of "like cures likes".

This is the same principle that vaccination (and homeopathy) use.

Since we're a long way off from availability of a "safe" and effective vaccine they tested use of the older bacterial vaccine called BCG for generation of general immunity.

This immune "training" is precisely what we do by gradually exposing puppies and kittens to older animals that may be shedding serious viruses like parvo, panleuk, distemper, etc.

We can apply it to ourselves right away by gradually increasing our exposure to other people (and the virus).

For example, tonight we had a beautiful evening that allowed us to eat outside so 3 of our friends could join us for dinner.

Even though we remained physically distant, this incrementally increased chance of exposure.

Baby steps like this all "train" our immunity for the future.[/QUOTE]

BIngo! Here we are, a world of terrified sheep, when all that needs to happens is to give our immune system that upon which they thrive - a challenge. Dealing with a new partner in our growth is a desirable event, not one from which we should run. And a lifetime of previous challenge equips us perfectly for this little exercise. Be unafraid, treat yourself to healthy food, exercise, homeopathy, nice emotions like beautiful outdoor scenery, great music, happy pets and children, and you'll be a winner.
