We all know and try to help keep our beloved pets as healthy in every way possible. Optimizing lifestyle (through diet, exercise, minimizing stress and reducing exposure to drugs and toxins) and energetic balance are key.

Feeding great food is helpful both preventively as well as therapeutically. I’d therefore like to share a recipe from Pet Plan’s great Fetch magazine which is designed to help promote eye health:

Enjoy!

Ingredients: 1 cup chopped kale, 1/2 cup chopped green beans, 3 1/2 cups salmon, 1 cup well cooked quinoa, 1 tbsp. kelp powder.

Place 1 cup chopped kale and 1/2 cup chopped green beans in food processor and blend until pureed.

In a bowl, combine the puree, 1 14.5 ounce can or 3-1/2 cups cooks salmon, 1 cup cooked quinoa and 1 Tablespoon kelp power and mix thoroughly.

Divide into portions appropriate for your pet’s caloric intake.

Makes 6 cups, 237 calories per cup.
